Gwendolyn Edwards, CCLS

Gwendolyn Edwards first became a member of the Beverly Hills Century Legal Secretaries Association in the 1980's.  She has served as Legal Procedures Chair, Website Chair, and Editor for the Legal Daze newsletter and currently serves as President.  With over 20 years of what she likes to call, "hard core litigation experience," she has worked as a legal secretary in the areas of complex business litigation, bankruptcy, probate, and entertainment law and has been an office administrator.  In 2019, she will earn her paralegal certificate from the ABA-approved paralegal program at West Los Angeles College, where she currently serves on the Paralegal Advisory Committee.  She hopes to become a student of Loyola Law School after she earns her paralegal certificate.  Gwen is currently employed as a litigation secretary with the law offices of Glaser Weil Fink Howard Avchen & Shapiro in Century City.

Cheron joined BHCCLSA in 2017.  She is an experienced Paralegal, with more than 25 years in the legal field, as well as a Litigation Paralegal Certification from UCLA.  In additional to her paralegal duties, she is an experienced law office manager, bookkeeper, legal secretary and general “Jane of All Trades” in the legal field.  Cheron has experience with third party insurance defense, construction defect, land use and environmental litigation.  She has assisted in the preparation of trial presentations in TrialDirector, sat table-side with attorneys in the courtroom running the presentations and pulling up evidence at on the fly.  She served as Vice President of the East Hollywood Neighborhood Council and as an outreach volunteer with the Downtown Women’s Center.  Cheron has been recognized by Mayor Garcetti, City Attorney Mike Feuer, City Councilman Mitch O’Farrell, LAPD Chief of Police Charlie Beck (the only non-LAPD officer recognized), and the Commissioners of the Los Angeles Department Public Works for her volunteer efforts in public safety, neighborhood clean-ups, and homeless outreach.  She was also recognized for her efforts in the Los Angeles Times.  Cheron received her certification as a California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS) from Legal Professionals Incorporated (LPI) in 2021.  She enjoys Craftsman homes, live music, punk rock, movies, hiking, sewing, mid-century modern, vintage style, New Orleans, Buddhism, and dogs; but not necessarily in that order.  Cheron has been employed as a paralegal for the past 12 years at The Sohagi Law Group, PLC in Brentwood.

Executive Secretary

Robin holds a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.  She is a legal secretary at Kendall Brill & Kelly working for partners practicing in entertainment litigation and white collar criminal defense work.  Prior to that she worked for partners at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld for over thirteen years in the appellate and labor & employment practice groups.
