The Beverly Hills/Century City Legal Secretaries Association (“BH/CCLSA”) was chartered by Legal Secretaries, Incorporated (“LSI”) in 1947, and adopted a name change in 1984. In joining BH/CCLSA, you also become a member of LSI.
Our primary purpose is continuing legal education. BH/CCLSA and LSI provide members with many opportunities to increase knowledge and improve skills. Classes and seminars are sponsored in addition to the educational speakers featured at monthly BH/CCLSA meetings.
LSI also offers membership in specialized areas of the law, such as civil litigation, criminal law, probate/estate planning, family law, law office administration, and transactional law. Each section provides a quarterly newsletter, which contains changes and updates in the law from throughout the State of California. LSI also administers the California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS) certification exam, for secretaries with at least three years experience.
For additional information on both programs, go to www.lsi.org.Members of BH/CCLSA receive advance notice of all LSI publications and events, as well as a yearly subscription to LSI’s quarterly magazine, The Legal Secretary. Additionally, BH/CCLSA has a monthly newsletter, the Legal Daze, featuring current information on changes in the law, meeting notices, interclub news, and other news of BH/CCLSA members.
